Ouch! As a certified TV-aholic I can sympathize. I hate it when my cable is acting up. The digital cable on my cable company supplied DVR box goes out from time to time -- or it gets really boxy and strange and I get so ticked off at the cable company.

As the mom of a middle school girl I have to say I don't hear the word ''dude'' instead I get ''like.'' For example: ''So I had this assignment in class, like, and the teacher didn't tell us, like, when the project is due.'' It is reaching the point when I really don't like that word.

I wish I had more time to read. I used to be a ''reader'' meaning I had at least 1 book -- usually more-- going at one time. These days I like mysteries - James Patterson's Big Bad Wolf is my most recent read.
