So today at 12 a.m. our cable provider pulls our local CBS station off of our cable menu.  What’s up with that?  We’ve got the stock market in the toilet.  We’ve got banks going under.  We have politicians sitting on their hands, and now I have no CBS.  Apparently the CBS affiliate couldn’t work out a contract agreement with the cable provider, and poof, just like that, no CBS.  I can live without Survivor, CSI, the Ghost Whisperer and even the Nightly News with Katie Couric, but Sunday is the real problem.  It’s the Colts game on Sunday.  We had a bye last week, so the city has already started into withdrawal.  Humm…I’m either going to have to locate some rabbit ears in the next 2 days or call a Colts party at someone else’s house.  My sisters both live too close.  We are all on the same cable provider, but my parents get their cable from a different provider.  Looks like Mom and Dad are hosting the Colts party this weekend. 

 

I hope they knock a couple of dollars off my cable bill this month.  Grrrrrr!

In case anyone is wondering, we still don't have CBS.  Now another weekend to figure out how to watch the Colts.  Last Sunday we went to my sister's house.  I forgot she switched over to that AT&T Univision.  Lucky for her. 

 

I did find some rabbit ears, but it is hard to hook up the TV because I basically have to get it out of the entertainment cabinet to hook up this antenna.  Oh well, sometimes desperate times call for desperate measures.  Why can’t these people just kiss and make up so that we can get CBS again?

Ouch! As a certified TV-aholic I can sympathize. I hate it when my cable is acting up. The digital cable on my cable company supplied DVR box goes out from time to time -- or it gets really boxy and strange and I get so ticked off at the cable company.

I hope this get resolved for you.

Did everyone finally make nice and give you back CBS?
