I just found this forum through a friend of mine. I am a paraplegic and I am glad to see a new site for us to talk in.
I wanted to share this little story.
I was feeling down and depressed. I had a uti but took my son to see a movie anyway. (He's 8) Part of the movie got a little scary. One of those action scenes where you worry the bad guy might just win. I put my hand on his leg and he said, "It'll be ok. It's always a happy ending in the movies." I found it funny he was trying to reassure me. I guess my real mood showed thorough because I said, "Too bad it's not like that in real life." He just looked over at me and said, "How do you know it isn't?"
That really touched me. I love the innocence and wisdom of a child.
I just came back from yesterday.
