Quick Follow UpJust a short note, and follow up to the Boston Marathon. Team Reeve was successful in our fundraising goals for the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation. It is comforting to know that the funds that we have raised will positively affect those living with paralysis. Thank you very much for supporting the CDRF and keeping me motivated by reading about my training experiences. I hope that in posting this, that I have inspired someone else to run a marathon and push themselves to their physical limits while helping others.
In the almost 2 weeks since Boston, I have been recovering--but still running. I have been on a high about the whole experience for the last several weeks, and it is something that I won't soon forget.
The other news that I have is: last weekend I signed up to run in the
Vermont City Marathon on May 24 in Burlington Vermont. I am not sure yet whether or not this is a good idea, but I am now committed. I am testing whether I can run another marathon with a 5-week turn around. After running 13+ miles this evening, I realized that I still have some lingering post-Heartbreak Hill pain left. Hopefully this will disappear before Memorial Day weekend in Burlington.
Thanks again, and I hope to run for Team Reeve again in the future.
