Dealing with it

A theme for the week is emerging -- dealing with it. Yesterday I wrote about Francesco Clark who recently appeared in the PBS series This Emotional Life where he spoke about dealing with his happiness.

Christina Symanski (pictured) happens to be a high school friend of Leigh Alspach, our manager of Team Reeve. We have talked about Christina in this space before. She is a wonderful artist who paints by mouth. Christina was featured on the series Soul Survivor (it's in three nine minute parts on YouTube). The whole show is about her, and she is very open and honest about her injury. It is an in depth look at how someone is dealing with it.

Learn more about Christina.

About gerthro

I lived all my life in and around the Philadelphia area. Went to Temple University, taught television production at Plymouth Whitemarsh high school. In the meantime, I've had lots of jobs in television and multimedia. I left my position as the managing editor of MensHealth.com to come to the Reeve Foundation as the manager of online communications in 2007.
