Bikers competing in benefit downhill race

This weekend is a race for Tara Llanes (pictured during her rehab, courtesy Mountain Bike magazine) and the Reeve Foundation. I first learned of her in the pages of Mountain Bike.

Riders from around the world will meet at Northstar in Lake Tahoe in the Race for Tara 3 (R4T3) to benefit her Road to Recovery fund. It’s been two years since Tara, a professional mountain biker, crashed headfirst during an event fracturing her spine and causing her to lose all feeling from the waist down.

Read more about the event this weekend.

Tara's story is here.
