Action Alert! Tell your Senators to support the CDC

Please urge your U.S. Senators to support $10 million for funding of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) which supports the work of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.

We need your help to ensure that we have the funding to reach as many paralyzed Americans as possible who will benefit from the Paralysis Resource Center, Quality of Life grants program, the peer-to-peer mentoring program and the NeuroRecovery Network.

On Tuesday, July 28th, the Senate appropriations subcommittee on labor, health, education and related agencies will be marking up the bill that will fund the cooperative agreement with the CDC. We need you to write, call and/or email your Senator and ask them to support a $10 million appropriation that supports the work of the Reeve Foundation.

Here is all the information you need including how to find your Senators, and a suggested text for an email.

Thanks for taking action on this!

Rob

About gerthro

I lived all my life in and around the Philadelphia area. Went to Temple University, taught television production at Plymouth Whitemarsh high school. In the meantime, I've had lots of jobs in television and multimedia. I left my position as the managing editor of MensHealth.com to come to the Reeve Foundation as the manager of online communications in 2007.
