Team Reeve racing in Alaska and Montana

TEAM HEINLE
I told you last week about Lisa Heinle's marathon run for Team Reeve in honor of her husband Bob. Well, she did it! The wonderful photo to the left is from the Missoulian and shows Lisa joined by her husband and their dog as she finishes.

"The team, led by Lisa Heinle, ran in honor of her husband, Bob Heinle, a former Missoula city police sergeant who was shot in the line of duty and has been paralyzed since 1998.

One-by-one, Team Heinle crossed the finish line in their “irunforbob.com” T-shirts. By the time Lisa Heinle arrived on the Higgins Avenue Bridge, after running for five hours, a throng of Heinle family well-wishers and fans had assembled at the finish line."

Learn more about Team Heinle and help them reach their fundraising goal. They just need a little push.

SADLER'S ALASKA CHALLENGE

The Sadler’s Alaska Challenge starts Sunday and runs July 19-26. It is the longest wheelchair and handcycle race in the world. The Foundation has a horse in the race -- Matthew Updike is a world class athlete who is raising money for our Colorado chapter.

Learn more about Matt and watch an interview with him.

Support Matt and the Reeve Foundation.

About gerthro

I lived all my life in and around the Philadelphia area. Went to Temple University, taught television production at Plymouth Whitemarsh high school. In the meantime, I've had lots of jobs in television and multimedia. I left my position as the managing editor of MensHealth.com to come to the Reeve Foundation as the manager of online communications in 2007.
