Richard Kind to host Born for Broadway

We are doing a very cool event called Born for Broadway this month in NYC. It is a one-night musical event benefiting the Foundation. It is Monday, June 22nd at 8:00 p.m. at New World Stages, 340 West 50th Street, NYC. Directed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge, (just back from directing "Ragtime" at the Kennedy Center in DC) with musical direction by Larry Yurman ("Grey Gardens"), featuring both established Broadway performers as well as undiscovered talent, and will be hosted by actor and comedian, Richard Kind.

Born for Broadway first began as a student-sponsored musical revue at Marymount Manhattan College, where event founder, Sarah Galli, was enrolled as a performance major. Galli founded the event as a way to combine her two passions; her love for theatre (a community equally beloved by Christopher and Dana Reeve) and her desire to raise funds for spinal cord research. Galli's brother was spinal cord injured 11 years ago and is now a high level quadriplegic.

For more information on this extraordinary event visit: www.bornforbroadway.com.

Ticket prices range from $50 to $100 and are on sale now through Telecharge: www.telecharge.com.
