Dana Reeve

Dana Reeve dies in March 2006. Like everyone else, I watched the news in amazement from the outside. It was a sad story. Her husband died, and now her. And how unfair for their young son. From the inside, even three years later, I can feel the true enormity of losing her here in the office. It is obvious that, while Christopher was the driving force, Dana was the heart and soul of the Foundation.

It's a joy to get anyone here to start talking about her. To see the smile that grows on their faces, and to hear the love in their voices. It's wonderful to be part of it.

About gerthro

I lived all my life in and around the Philadelphia area. Went to Temple University, taught television production at Plymouth Whitemarsh high school. In the meantime, I've had lots of jobs in television and multimedia. I left my position as the managing editor of MensHealth.com to come to the Reeve Foundation as the manager of online communications in 2007.
