TD&H, First, I firmly believe that exercise is hazardous to your health. The number of people injured or dying from exercise.....
But it could have been worse. Several years ago, I responded to a call for a possible heart attack. I walk into the basement exercise room where the guy had been working out as part of his cardiac rehab program to find CPR in progress. He "lived" another 3 days.
Last year, a guy walks into the ER. He had been down the street at a gym working out when he had chest pain. He drives himself to the ER where within 10-15 minutes he was dead.
One night in the ER an ambulance brings in a guy, I guess early 40's. He had been playing softball in a church league. He dove for a ball in the outfield and landed hard, missing the ball. He said he felt a little short of breath but finished the game. Later that evening, he still has trouble breathing and his side hurts so his wife takes him to "doc-in-a-box" (walk in urgent care center). They take some x-rays and call an ambulance to bring him to the hospital. Seems that along with several fractured ribs, he also managed to puncture a lung.
So.. a little whip lash? Learn from it and count your blessings. It could be worse.
