*SIGH* I was making a joke.  I said I agree that your "car" ma was a joke.

"God says "Vengance is mine."  I agree completely.

I'm sorry it was not strictly biblical.  I know your joke was not (strictly) biblical and you have nothing to apologized to me.  :)

Which is why I gave you a real answer.   This is why I read my bible and know God's word is living and active. It is sharper than any two-edged sword and cuts as deep as the place where soul and spirit meet, the place where joints and marrow meet. God's word judges a person's thoughts and intentions.

    jennabah:

I've thought about this and as I see it there are a couple of things.

One is that we are talking about presumably nonchristians. We can't hold the world to our standard of behavior, so it is pointless to judge this couple for what they did.

Second what would we do in that place, you obviously couldn't move the cart before the lady backed into it, but for the sake of "what would you do" lets say we were close enough to actually do something. I think the simplest thing to do would have been to grab the cart, put your purse in the seat and go on into the store with your cart already in your hand. I often do just that.

Thirdly, the person who's car the cart was behind would have seen it when they came out to get in thier car and moved it, so that couple caused damage that would not have been caused if they had left it alone. This is what often happens when we decide to"fix" things. Kinda the reason God says "Vengance is mine." don't ya think?

If I was in your shoes I probably would have had my kids with me and I would have used that as a lesson in what I said above, if after we were in the store the couple over heard the discussion and it made them think, that is in God's hands, mean while it is a real life example of not taking justice into your own hands when you can't see all the angles and it isn't your job.

    Excellent!
