I've been decorating my finished walk out basement... We painted the bath a Khaki color and the large bedroom a green... My daughter picked a deep red for towels and rug for the bath... with chrome faucets and other accessories. It looks so nice...

I haven't decide on bedding for the bedroom at all...  it's a master that is attached to this bathroom.

We are painting the Family room/game room the same Khaki as the bath..  It's been fun, work, but fun. 
Its making my main floor looke outdated... Although, I just redid my master suite in May... it's all a light teal color now... bedding, towel, etc...  The walls are green.  It looks kinda island resort style. ;-)  but light shades.

I like it.  It was a muted purple for years.. all my bedroom and bath stuff.. 

Anyone else up to any changes around the house?

I am planning on doing our master bedroom in burgundy/gold. I already got a comforter set, shams, dust ruffle...

I also went to the store and saw these curtains that will match perfectly! I went to a thrift store and found some ugly lamps : ) BUT, they have a gold base, so I'm going to re-do the fabric lampshade with some type of burgundy fabric!

I'm so excited! We have a bathroom right off of our bedroom, so I'm trying to think of how I want to do that...

 

I like to do adjoining bathrooms in the same color and style... I think it's elegant, and gives the impression of a larger master "suite"...   I make sure I put touches that "indulge" me me too... like candle sticks, with great matching candles, and finger towels that I actually use...  books to read while in the "deep soak" tub..  

My daughter calls my bathroom the "sanctuary"... LOL... That is where my cross collection hangs.. it covers three walls.

And I have a print of the "Guardian Angel" with two kids on the broken bridge framed to match... and I have a white porceline nativity that I keep out all the time, that sits in my big window ...

But, that is the one place in the house that I can fill up as much as I want, it's for my private use.  When my bath was muted purple, it looked very religious.. but now it is more casual and just looks like my place to retreat and indulge myself.  Works for me.

our bedroom is actually the living room and its a long story as to why that is but it is big enough to do so we have four sections in the living room a dining room, office, bedroom and living room section i am also wanting to get a captains bed with the drawers in it cause right now our dresser is a basket lol

so our couch is burgany and i have teal accents

so i want to do the bedroom side teal i found a teal quilt i love at target that i want to get probally in july and my curtains on the living side is marron and brown stripes its cool i love it only have one window in the living

and my bathroom is lighthouses

my kitchen is a hodge podge lol i have a light house rug in their cause my husband is so messy that all i have to do is vaccum

and above my stove is 2 religious pictures and a cross reminds me to pray over everything and then i have floral asian print above the sink lol so its a hodge podge but i love it

then my little girls room is hannah montana lol

I got my teal bedding at Bed Bath & Beyond...  the quilted coverlet, the shams, threes Euro pillows, sheets and a dustruffle, and curtain.  Then I got the towels to match also, and rugs for the bath...

I like the change, I was ready for it, I don't miss the purple at all.  I'm very happy with my choices.  The large picture I had above the bed matches it all ust fine...  it looks different now... (differnt colors pop out) and it's like new to me. LOL.

The spring is a good time to redo... I did my spring cleaning... up, down and all around before my son's gradutation, so... just redoing my linens didn't mean having to deep clean the bedroom... it was done!  I cleaned everthing in this house.... under and behind furniture, the carpets, the windows, closests...  no corner was left undusted or whiped with bleach water!  Now I can relax until November... I do it all again when I decorate for Christmas.

You know, you can get under the bed drawers that slide in and out.  Usually in the "container" dept of a dept store...  But, some place like bed bath and beyond my carry them too.

My daughter had them, and she gave them to my son to take to college.  I have three of them under the bed in the guest room to hold toys when the grandbabies come.

we dont have a frame our bed is a solid pieces of wood kinda like a platform bed so no storage underneath lol

That sounds so nice! I'm going to do the bathroom in burgundy/gold just like the bedroom, but I don't have vision for it yet. I just have the colors. And of course candles will be in there...DH loves them too!

Last summer my husband and I (with help from our families) painted our entire house, with the exception of the master bedroom and upstairs bathroom.  We painted it an oatmeal color.  We had new laminate "wood" flooring put down through the entire house and ceramic tile in the kitchen.  We previously had white carpet with a black dog, UGH!

I would love to update our kitchen - it really needs it.  All of the appliances are old and this dingy, khaki color.  Nasty.  Unfortunately, we have to replace our roof and will be replacing our flower beds so the kitchen must wait.

sure join right in for some odd reason i couldnt respond earlier i am so looking forward to getting our new bed lol because we desperatly need a king this morning for example our 5 yr old decieds sp? to crawl in bed with us therefore i had to move to the far edge and then she goes back to sleep i then have to get up to go to the bathroom and she proceds to take my half of the bed so i go crawl in hers and then she wakes up and asks me why i am in her bed well duh lol

Here is the bedding for the bedroom.. the walls in the bath are the same color the towels and rugs etc... are darker teal.

Oh man!  I love to do this, but we have been so stinking busy that I think my plans will just remain dreams and I will never see them on the walls. Ü :(  oh well.

Here is my list of what I dream of doing...someday...

1.   T.V. Room painted and wainscoted.

2.    Front Room painted or papered and raised paneled wainscoted . I would also like to get some crown molding that matches the wainscoting color for that room…maybe

3.    Textured ceiling beams covered with Pecan stained Plywood- we did manage to get this done in one room and it looks so wonderful!  Very warm and cozy looking.

4.    New flooring on the kitchen floor
