BcauseHeLives:
I was very touched & very inspired by TDH's response to his wife's filing of divorce. He didn't worry about the ''stuff'' he was more concerned about her & her spiritual health.
I remember people telling him to get a lawyer & fight for his money, home, etc, etc. He didn't care about that stuff...he loved ...

I don't think he committed suicide. I think it was an accidental overdose OR heart failure as the result of using anesthesia. There's always a risk with anesthesia, and it blows my mind he was using it to sleep. Anesthesia doesn't even provide real sleep. Just using it to sleep once is weird. Using it to sleep all

Cast-n-Blast:Sorry, but I have a hard time believing these posts with all the MJ love are not trolls and you guys are swallowing it hook, line & sinker.
LOL
I'd love to talk about the MJ mysteries! I just haven't posted because I'm not interested in doing in within the context of this particular thread.

DIC,
Praying. Praying. Praying.
Leeza,
I think it's very rude of you to try to guess his problem. Back off!

dallasapple:Who wants to be locked in with someone who doesnt want to be committed in the first place anyway.Thats foolish.
I know. It's sort of sick. I see it happen all the time too.
I half wonder if these women would run the other way if the man suddenly decided to commit.
It's almost as if they're avoiding ...

Well, to me, it seems like he is playing games with you. He says you are a ''couple'' and ''exclusive''....until you ''push'' him for more. It is entirely up to you. If this is the type of relationship YOU want, then continue as you are with him. If not, then the sooner ...

shimmylicious05:See, this is where it gets tricky: He says-we are a couple. We are together. We are commited. He tells people I am his girlfriend. To everyone else, we are bf/gf. To one another, we don't say it. So it's weird...
How and why would you even say boyfriend/girlfriend to one ...

Before buying another computer, I decided to visit the Geeks. My Geek believes my problem is software related and he told me how to fix the computer without charging me. (Remember, the problem with my computer is the reboot loop.)
He showed me how to go to the recovery area in safe mode. Hit F8 when starting the ...

dallasapple:I wish I was one of those people who could be made less angry or even have sex when I was angry to stop the conflict.
I become less angry whenever my husband cracks a joke. Even when I try very hard to not smile, I always break down and burst into laughter. I can't stay mad at him when he makes me laugh.

divorce in church:And its NOT just the potentially tempted...its also the potentially jealous.
I couldn't agree with you more!

BerthaAgain:I am worried about possible legal ramifications.
There is a legal risk to what has happened. I know a family that called the police because an old neighbor, whom the parents always fought with, intimidated their teenage son while driving past in a car. It's complicated to explain, but let's just say that the old ...

haveaquestion:My guess is that you are a man. I believe that woman have a good sense when a woman may have alternate motives and we pick up on subtle behavior that a man just doesn't notice.
I believe 92 is a female. For the record, I'm a female too. You can't assume all females think the same way you do.

They have more freedom to share private conversations at work. Afterall, you're not at work, but you're clearly reading facebook.

jwdR1:If that is our understanding of our Founding Father's intent, then we have no right to complain about a corrupt government or the direction our country is headed. The separation was intended to be one way and the other way around, i.e., keep the goverment out of church affairs and no national church.
No. Separation of ...

divorce in church:I'd like to see the church unleashed. On the question in the OP, of course one should claim their donations, all of them. But I'd rather the church not accept the governments ''gift'' of the 501c3 status, and be free to actively speak out on matters we feel are important. If one dislikes what their church says, find a different ...

JaneFW:I was once interested in that foundation that is like powder or something? Can't remember!
It's a top of the line makeup that's available in stores now. It's available at most upscale stores here, but you'll be certain to find it at Sephora. You can have a makeup artist do your face and see if it's right for ...

JaneFW:I guess there is some question about court intervention? I dunno, I'm way, way behind.
Pennsylvania child protective services has been investigating the Gosselins for alleged abuses of child labor laws. Again, I know this because I live in Pennsylvania. We must get more coverage on our local news because it's ...

From the above Blah link.

That cracked me up. I like hooey, but the rest are kinda strange!
I may use some of them to mix it up though. :)
twaddle!

JaneFW:You were the one who was posting from the beginning of this thread as though you had the inside track. You posted about how Kate said the marriage was over six months ago, or whatever. Evidently you are also seeking to be entertained by the destruction of this marriage or you wouldn't have been reading whatever you read, which ...

BcauseHeLives:I don't think you know what's in her heart SHP.
I don't claim to know what's in her heart. I know she's not a stupid woman. I know the way she filed for divorce could result in her being divorced in three months. She won't be able to stop that if Jon doesn't contest, which she's well aware. And she

JaneFW:All this talk about Jon wanting to stop the show is a bit of a smokescreen, imo. He may actually, for real, want to stop it now, but he wasn't objecting when he (and Kate) were given freebie after freebie - including furniture, hair plugs (for him), teeth whitening (for both of them), etc. Jon hasn't ...

BcauseHeLives:How do you know what that indicates SHP?
I live in Pennsylvania. I know Pennsylvania divorce law.

dallasapple:And Im sick of the ''she is filing''..HE has NOT objected.Maybe thats part of the whole problem. He LETS everything be up to her.Is he a man or a mouse?
He very well might contest the divorce. The proper place for his objection is through the courts, not the media or on a tv show.

Ohio University does meet the criteria! It's a very reasonable distance from Pittsburgh. Close enough to come home on the weekends. Far enough away to feel independent.
They might even have a discounted tuition plan for Western Pennsylvania residents. Many of the Ohio schools are competing for Pennsylvania ...

dallasapple:And if the network set this up for drama they are pretty stupid because the ratings have dropped dramatically..
The last 'divorce episode' drew the highest ever for the show---10.3 million. The first show of the season had record ratings (9.8 million) too because it was about marriage problems. The ratings dropped for

dallasapple:.But I agree..Even if she did ..this isnt going to be one of those ''she divorced him'' arguments for me.They are MUTUALLY in a agreement is definately whats being expressed here.He does not want to be maried to her anymore than she does him.
That's yet to be determined. He might contest the divorce. She seemed to ...

That's not true. Kate filed for the divorce.

Wow. I'm overwhelmed.
We're spending this summer and fall visiting college campuses for our son. His guidance councelor told us that his is in the running to go just about anywhere he choses. We believe the living-at-college experience is an important transition into adulthood. We're interested in colleges in other ...

JaneFW:If I was in that position, I would not appreciate a complete outsider who knows nothing about ''what goes on behind closed doors'' telling me that I could not do this or do that.
Why does that only apply to Kate? Seems like complete outsiders here have no problem judging what Jon should and shouldn't do.

dallasapple:And her regret or sadness is more about her not beign able to be with the kids sometimes. From my understanding when he comes for his ''turns'' to visit she has to vacate the home while he is there.
She was away book signing for 21 days out of a month.
That's not an indication that she's sad about not being able to be ...

Pooh,
Kate is the one who filed for divorce, not Jon. She even chose the type of divorce that is required if the other party contests it. In Pennsylvania, you can get a no-fault divorce if both parties agree. But if one party contests it, you need to separate and a divorce isn't granted until after a two year separation. ...

Forty million people, two thirds of the population, under the age of 30, can't be held down. Modern technology has made this possible. They were raised in a time when they could circumvent sensorship to access world news. They not only fight for their freedom to vote, but for the right to a moderate government. They wish to ...

I have lost all interest in the show. Those poor kiddos. :(
My girlfriend watched the show faithfully. The opening episode this season was the last one she watched. She said it's just too sad to watch. She feels watching the show would be participating or supporting their divorce.

pooh girl:The biggest tragedy is the fact this marriage could be saved and reconciled, but it seems the media along with others are far too eager to call it over. It's like the country along with them are preparing for their divorce. Counseling or any help is not even mentioned. Just seems crazy that no mention of anyone thinking they could work ...

I do know that the church stopped permitting the cameras inside. I recall reading that they quit attending church after that.

chaz345:And while she didn't specifically use the word divorce, if not divorce, what other arrangement could be meant by what she described?
Permanent separation. I think Abby purposely avoided the word divorce to protect herself from judgement, and chose to word it more obscurely.
