    Sins are committed with the heart, not the body (though we usually need the body to follow through with things). Any time after your heart purposes to do the sin, you are already in need of forgiveness, so yes, the split second before is a good time to ask for forgiveness.&nbsp; In fact, probably the sooner the better.

    I have a suspicion that most of these kind of incidents are from people who don't really care personally one way or the other, but they're afraid that the one time they allow religious expression will be the one time that a litigious, irritable parent hears about it and sues the school and costs them their job.
