Is President Obama Correct: Is America No Longer a Christian Nation?

We touched this awhile back.

As I recall, and very generally, Holten, 92, boatman, and maybe SHP were on the ney side, best, gabby, bobsrib, maybe more were on the most definately yea side, others came down on the "depends how you define Christian nation".

 

Within the mix will be answers that are more about Obama than about the question are we or are we not a Christian nation. Thats unfortunate, because it isnt a political question, and shouldnt matter who said it, or what any other person said , the question is about what THIS person said.

The article is a good one in that it DOES lay out what ITS question means....are we a Christian nation per the articles definition?

I say yes, 100%.

We also live in a free nation so that one is not required to be christian and one has the freedom to choose.

After 42 years of the air force doing a fly over for the idaho (I think) God and Country Festival. Obama cancled it.

Recently, he did not do national day of prayer, BUT, did host a gay and *** conference at the White House.

He covered the Georgetown symbols of Chritianity as he made a speech there recently.

 

These things are very much WAY farther afield than going and making a speech to Muslims saying we are not a Christian nation.

He is making a real effort to PUSH BACK on Christianity.

 

Someone, please tell me how an idaho festival thats run 42 years, and a jet fly over, was SUDDENLY endorsing a religion.?
