    Very exciting update!

Thx for all the prayers & advice, etc in the thread about my work situation.  My last day at work will be October 30th!!  My H is completely on the same page with me.  In fact he has told me to go ahead & let my boss know.

He asked me to wait until late Sept, early October for financial reasons.  So I told him that I'd get my department through end of month in October, rather than leaving them half way through the month.  He's planning everything out...says not to worry we'll figure it out & everything will be okay!

We did talk about tightening up the money belt, but we're on the same page there so we're good.

    I'm SO excited!!  Praise God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It really couldn't be a better solution, and huge kudos to your h for listening to you, and listening to God.  :)

It's the very best news today.  Praise Him.

    Re: Very exciting update!

Thank you!  I have to be honest, it was mostly my fear that kept me here so long.  I can explain that in detail another time but I needed to step out in faith & God sort of lead me there.

I'm going to make a propositin to my boss.  I'll handle their data entry from home.  It would be part time work from home.  I'm not sure they'll want to agree to that but I thought, why not at least put it out there.

It's amazing the way that God works, BHL.  This week at VBS, the cry has been FEAR NOT!!  It has really sunk into my heart too.  Not about quitting work, because I know that's not a reality for me right now, but just about not fearing "things".  He's with me, He's got His hand on me, He's got a plan for me.  What can I do but FEAR NOT!!

This has been my desire for about 8 years now. :)  So it's been a long time coming.  It's a huge leap in faith for both of us.  I'm praising God for giving us each the courage to do what is right for our family.

I can't wait, but at the same time I know it won't be a picnic.  He hasn't used my income for bills for the last 4 years to the $418 I made a week went to whatever I wanted it to go for.  I used some of it each week for groceries though so that's going to be a bit of a challenge...but then again I won't need to buy a whole lot of convenience food anymore! :)  Otherwise I used the rest to suppliment for dinners out...spent money on meeting friends for lunch about once a month, gas to & from work, money for the girls' to do this or that, or get clothing, books, etc.  Other than the groceries & gas (which was over half of my weekly income) it was for extras.

And then there's the insurance.  That was saving us quite a bit of money.  But as my H said, it will all work out (and I am adding...according to His plan!).

What I said was I didn't understand why he was saying we couldn't afford to bring me home full time when he's buying a camper, vehicles, plans to build a machine shed this fall, etc.  We have 3 vehicles, he was looking at a 4th one plus wants to buy a "nice" truck to tootle around in & was making plans to purchase both this fall.  To me that means we have money to burn & so that didn't make sense to me to then say I can't afford to stay home full time.

Apparently God's changed his heart...that's all that matters to me!

Just curious DiC, is there a reason this needs clarification for you?  Are you getting at a special point?  Or were you just asking out of curiosity?

    Re: Very exciting update!

My point was obvious. thats why it irritated you.

For weeks youve been very negative nearly saying he was forcing you to work, and how you couldnt go against his wishes. If you didnt imply it was because he wanted to buy all those things, well, maybe I am the only one who saw it.

The  you simply say "it was all my doing i'll get to that later"...case closed

Dont worry I wont post in this thread again

Oh DiC I really get under your skin don't I?

I was irritated because you're raining on my parade w/your storm cloud of judgement & insincerity! ;0)

Let me address this point by point...

    divorce in church:
For weeks youve been very negative nearly saying he was forcing you to work, and how you couldnt go against his wishes. If you didnt imply it was because he wanted to buy all those things, well, maybe I am the only one who saw it.

For weeks I've been very negative?  Wow.  I seriously think you might want to take that big plank out of your eye before trying to take the speck of dust out of my own.

That said, I agree I have been very negative where my H is concerned lately.  I was wrong & I owed my H an apology which I gave him. ;0)

I have to tell you, I don't for a minute believe you pointed that out of some kind of loving concern for my H, myself or our family.  I think it has more to do with your strong dislike for me & the fact I get under your skin.  It sure reads like payback to me. ;0)

I didn't "imply" that it was because he wanted to buy all those things...I out right said that was why.  And I called him on it.

    divorce in church:
The  you simply say "it was all my doing i'll get to that later"...case closed

No I said it was my fear that kept me tied to this job.  I did not say that it was all my doing.  When someone says I'll get to that later, that usually means case isn't closed. ;0)  I wanted to wait until I was home where I could take the time to think over my words.

And I will get to that later...case not closed.

    divorce in church:
I was just advocating for the missing man

First, I don't believe you.  I don't think this is sincere in the least bit.  I think you swooped into a positive thread with your same old attitude of I need to put this woman in her place.  I don't think there was any advocacy for my husband but instead for yourself.  That's my opinion & it's not going to change.

Just like I think all these threads you start or twist around to the whole society loves to hate men is all about you.

    divorce in church:
Dont worry I wont post in this thread again

Oh if only that were true DiC.  But if your history here is any indication, I don't know that this is a true statement either. ;0)

    We'll see...
