Where to start. How about after Hurricane Ike. We had minimal damage, but before we could do much, my Husband, Bob, had a heart attack and a triple bypass(Oct.1st). Long story short, serveral things happened to put him in the right hospital, right floor hooked up to a I.V. when he had the "big heart attack". If he had been anywhere else he wouldn't have made it through. (according to his surgeon) His heart stopped on the table but they shocked him back. Apparently I was the only one that didn't realize(admit to myself) just how touch and go it was. He was on the prayer list at three churches before he even got out of surgery. GOD IS GOOD.

In April, he injured his shoulder at work and had surgery the first of June. He will be home until Aug. recuperating. We are enjoying our time together even if he is in pain alot.

At his workplace lots of things are happening while he is gone(thank God) One of his bosses was allowed to resign (another answered prayer) so maybe things will be better when he returns.( we hope)

Youngest son put us through a bad time last July by moving in with a very troubled girl with 3 children(the oldest wasn't three yet). God didn't want us to interfere with His dealing with our son,so He took away our financial ability to help. This also gave us the opportunity to see the love our neighbor and church family have for us. The love and support was overwhelming. In Aug. our son moved back home (God's doing) and he is slowly growing up. He is about to turn 25, he is slow but will get there with time and God.

It is funny, how much we have gone through lately. I don't feel mistreated or bitter..... I feel loved and cared for. By God and by so many people.

Sorry to be so long winded...... but this really is the short version!!

You very blessed Sister in Christ,

                                          Cindy

Catching Up

Hey there everyone. Yes, Bob's Rib we are doing well where our marriage is concerned. I thought I would start a new post. I didn't want to hijack the other conversation. I've missed you and all the others as well. I just don't have time to be on the computer anymore.

Honestly, I don't remember what was going on in our lives last time I was posting. I have a great new job with the local board of education doing payroll. DH has got out of the trucking business and now works as a correctional officer. This helps us financially because we cross reference ins--saved about $400 a month this way. Praise the Lord.

Oldest daughter graduated. Thank goodness. Hasn't been easy with her lately. She's moved out and living w/bf and family. Times its been ugly. I just pray God will help her because she sure won't let anyone else.

Other children are doing great and dh and I are doing great.

He's still not restored to the Lord. I keep praying and I know God will answer my prayers as he has already answered so many where my family is concerned.

I need prayers too though. Unfortunately lately I've been wondering if I've not becoming like Hezekiah. I prayed and wept bitterly asking God to restore my family. He did. Now I have found myself not as active in church and that really bothers me. My 2 year old hinders me from doing alot of things, but not everything. I don't want to EVER get to where I take God or my family for granted.

Bob's Rib and everybody else please update me on lives over the last year. I am curious, is Baron still around and how is he? He was one of many who holds a special place in my heart. He had such encouraging words yet seemed to suffer so much. I hope things have turned out well for him.

Love and prayers,

Being Still (lomist-wouldn't let me do being still anymore)
