We have a lot of contacts in different parts of the country that we keep in contact with through Facebook, prayer letters, email, and phone. We were able to get nine couples to join our group this year by sending out our group name in our prayer letter, posting it to our personal group page on Facebook, and by following up with some of our friends by phone. None of us were at the same conference, but we all joined the same group, got the same discount, and we were even able to send one couple for free!

homebuilders

My husband and I started a group at our church. We attended the Weekend to Remember last July and were moved. We have completed "Keeping the Covenant" and "Overcoming Stress in your Marriage". We are sad about the size of our group. We began with 5 couples and have ended with 3, including ourselves. I am hoping someone has some advice about increasing the size of the group. We are surrounded by couples who are going through the divorce process, and unwilling to attend the Homebuilders group. Any advice would be appreciated.

Serving as a "WTR" Group Coordinator

Hey All,

Serving as a "WTR" Group Coordinator is a piece of cake. If you have been to a "WTR" or have become familiar with a "WTR" and are interested in going to one, you already have what it takes to become a "WTR" Group Coordinator. "FamilyLife" provides all kinds of resources to help you promote "WTR" conferences in your church or your community. God has provided you the passion.

The brochures and hand out cards are great. My wife and I made up computer labels with our Group Code, "WTR" e-mail address, and "WTR" conference dates in the cities near us that we promote. Placed them on the backs of the cards and brochures, then we started handing them out casting the seed upon the ground allowing God to do His work and see which seeds take root. We pass them out everywhere we go - work, at mixers we go to, on the doorsteps of our neighbors, on windshields of cars in parking lots, just walking down the street when we are out and about, and of course at our church.. The least someone will do is discard them, but Jesus did say that if we were obedient to cast the seed, He would encourage the rooting and the growth. We just have to be bold enough to be obedient.

Let me tell you this crazy story of what I did. Sitting at a stop light, I saw a car up in front of me with "Just Married" emblazoned across the rear window. Well, I chased it down to a bank parking lot and placed a brochure in the hands of this newly married couple. What kind of impact you think that seed might have on into eternity!

I always have a pocket full of cards on me or brochures in the cars, because you never know how God will present an opportunity for you to reach out in His name. Catch the vision and join the "Team", be a part of strengthening a marriage and helping build godly homes. For more inspiration, contact McDFam at wtr_charleston@comcast.net.
