This past year has been a doo-sy! Where to start. How about after Hurricane Ike. We had minimal damage, but before we could do much, my Husband, Bob, had a heart attack and a triple bypass(Oct.1st). Long story short, serveral things happened to put him in the right hospital, right floor hooked up to a I.V. when he had the "big heart attack". If he had been anywhere else he wouldn't have made it through. (according to his surgeon) His heart stopped on the table but they shocked him back. Apparently I was the only one that didn't realize(admit to myself) just how touch and go it was. He was on the prayer list at three churches before he even got out of surgery. GOD IS GOOD.
In April, he injured his shoulder at work and had surgery the first of June. He will be home until Aug. recuperating. We are enjoying our time together even if he is in pain alot.
At his workplace lots of things are happening while he is gone(thank God) One of his bosses was allowed to resign (another answered prayer) so maybe things will be better when he returns.( we hope)
Youngest son put us through a bad time last July by moving in with a very troubled girl with 3 children(the oldest wasn't three yet). God didn't want us to interfere with His dealing with our son,so He took away our financial ability to help. This also gave us the opportunity to see the love our neighbor and church family have for us. The love and support was overwhelming. In Aug. our son moved back home (God's doing) and he is slowly growing up. He is about to turn 25, he is slow but will get there with time and God.
It is funny, how much we have gone through lately. I don't feel mistreated or bitter..... I feel loved and cared for. By God and by so many people.
Sorry to be so long winded...... but this really is the short version!!
You very blessed Sister in Christ,
Cindy
