My daughter is part of the prom committee at school. 

I suggested The Garden of Eden, but she said no one would vote yes for it. 

Any ideas?

Having a locale as a theme tends to work well, instead of having a concept as a theme.  Some locale suggestions: Ancient Egypt or Greece; outer space; a farm or ranch; a desert oasis; a city like Hollywood, New York, Vegas or Paris; the Australian outback.  Tropical paradise is way overdone.

She could also suggest a time period like the 30s, the 60s, the wild west, Arthurian Camelot or Middle Earth.

I shared the ideas w/her.  They met yesterday & right now it's between a Pirates of the Carribean theme or something about a dream.  Some of the boys want a John Deere Green theme...ha!  My husband said he votes for that one...the senior boys were all for it...the senior girls said absolutely no way!! :)

It's a selected group of juniors that have the task of getting it all planned out & then everyone gets to vote I guess. 

Can you imagine John Deere Green as the theme?  I'm envisioning corn fields, combines, tractors...people showing up in their combines & tractors, instead of limos...ha!
