When my daughter Lacey was getting treated for meso I learned to get personal copies of everything. We got test results, names/contact info, etc. as print outs or on CD.My husband has recently had some very complex heath issues. His care is normally all through the VA. Last year we were sent ''out of system'' for a procedure. I failed to get ...

So sorry to hear you're not feeling so good right now. I'm guessing stress could be part of it! I do believe you can trust the advice of Dr. Hassan, especially if Mary was there too! So glad you got to meet Mary! She really is proof that wonderful things come in small packages!I know the recurrence is very discouraging news. Stay strong George. ...

Timothy, there are many who deal with chronic pain. My first question is, have you called Mary H.? She can offer some suggestions on where to go. Is Dr. Sugarbaker willing to deal with this in any way? Have you seen a pain management specialist? This years symposium will offer a session devoted to pain management. If you can not attend, the ...

Oh Mike! I don't know whether to cuss or cry! Probably both. What is about pain & getting it taken care of that's often so incredibly, stupidly difficult?! Right now I can't think of words to describe how much I admire you & Lisa's courage. I'm in awe! Once again your Dr. Lowy has been great & you & Lisa persevere. Prayers are ...

  • Re: resurrected for newbies - "The view - adieu"

It's both heartbreaking & joyous to read this again. Heartbreaking because I miss her as much today as I did then. Joyous because it's lovely to remember her & all the love she shared with this community. The things that June wrote & shared with everyone can be so useful for those who've joined us since. She was incredibly generous with

I am so sorry Diane. What a terrible situation for you, especially so soon after your loss. NONE OF IT IS YOUR FAULT! I think Rich is right, it's time for professional counselors to be brought in. Suicide is not something to deal with without professional help. You must take care of yourself.

  • Re: Introduction

Welcome to the community! Bonnie is very correct, you're first move should be to call Mary H. our guardian angel. Also known as the foundations nurse practitioner.I am not a meso patient so I can not advise you in that way. I am the Mom to & was caregiver for my daughter who is a peritoneal meso survivor. Lacey's has been NED [no evidence of ...
