    My treatment plan

    Hi Everyone,

Thank you for all of your kind words in recent days.   I saw my oncologist yesterday & here is what we came up with :

I will do 5-6 cycles of Alimta/Carboplatin (every 3 weeks).  My first chemo will be a week from today.   After 2 cycles, I will get a Cat Scan.   Depending upon the Cat Scan results, I will either stay on the A/C or we will try Navelbine.

Again, thank you for all of your support.

George- we are all pulling for you, stay strong and try to keep the appetite up. The anti naseau meds they have out are really good and it is important to stay ahead of the naseau. We wil be praying for you. Mike and Lisa

    Re: My treatment plan

Hi George-as the wife of a peritoneal, moved to pleural patient, I want to say I hope things go well. Just rememer to be gentle with yourself during the chemo, and don't wait to see if 'things should get better in a few days' if your anti-nausea meds don't seem to help. Dennis had to have IV anti nausea meds and fluids after all his cycles-the oral meds just weren't as effective. Thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. Rose
