Another 'first' without Marty

On the road again .... and this time going to stay in Reno w/my friend Barb. In Sep 2008 Marty and I went to 'their home' for the first time ... they graduated from HS with Marty and I'd 'found them' via the internet. Anyhow, b4 Marty went on Hospice we took a trip out to Reno to stay with Barb and *** !
In Jan Barb came here for 2 wks and we had good time. Now it will be going where Marty and I traveled together and slept in same bed/room. Also will be first time Barb have friends w/o *** being there ... He died Nov 20th.
Also, Barb and I are going to the timeshare that she and *** got in 1998 and her first time to go without him.
All the 'FIRSTS' are kinda hard to work through ... But, I'm glad for Barb that I've been thru the passages that I've done so far, and can be encouragement to her !
So, LIFE goes on for the living ! And we CAN make it a good thing! I leave tmro a.m. Tonite I am taking Angel to church bible study and in the parking lot will give her over to the care of some very dear and precious friends.
Hope EVBO doing well. Hugzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Lois

Thanks Mike!
Hey, I came back in to check on evbo and decided to reread my post. I'd forgotten that the name
D i c k would be *** out bcz system thinks it's a 'dirty word' .... LOL...... I used to test it to see if dumbass or BREASTS as in breast cancer (b r e a s t cancer) would be censored! I used to have fun with that, esp when I got mad at a dumbass doctor or something else !
Yeh, I'll have fun..... Barb's timeshare was the "lawrence welk" timeshare and I guess quite lovely. We hope to see a show, and do some other fun stuff. Some time have Lisa google Anita Renfroe, a Christian comedian (REALLY, REALLY GOOD!) and she has a CD by title PURSE-ANALITY ... and she sings a song "GIRLS NITE OUT!" I never used to have girls nite out when I was married to Marty cuz he was my best friend and I didn't want to go hang out with girls. Occasionally I'd do something, but very infrequently. Now, that type of activity is hilite of my life. Play bunco, sometime get with folks and play cards. Occasionally go movies, but not often. My regular events are bible study Tue nite and church then lunch w/friends afterwards. Once a month get together w/folks at church and we pack lunches for men's ministry to distribute to homeless people in the park. Gotta go pack.... inserted this in front of prob something else !
wasn't sure if I wanted Angel to "go" before I leave, or die while I'm gone, or wait til I get back so I can love on her more days of her life... The choice is not mine to make.... at least, I won't make a choice, whatever will be will be !

Another 'first' without Marty - "Miss Daisy" ?

Well, I may need a chauffer one of these days .... if the Law takes away my driver's license! Where were the cops when I was driving on snow packed, patchy ice roads doing 40 miles per hour in Mt passes between Calif and Reno.... I was driving, signs said chains required - WE HAD NONE .... but my fiend Barb's all-wheel drive car can't accommodate chains anyhow. Asked her how many Mts and passes we still had to go to get to Reno ... WAS SO AFRAID THE LAW WOULD STOP US AND TURN US BACK ... and I was on a time schedule.... anyhow, she said a couple more high mts and tough passes.... So, when we hit clear roads I pushed the pedal to the metal and this really cute, young cop clocked me at 74 and the not so nice, not so cute cop gave me a speeding ticket.... I should have told him I must remind him of his grandma and he should let me go.... The most I dared to say was, "Do you really have to give me a ticket?" He said he thought abt not giving me one, but the river and bridge and road ahead clear but very curvy and he decided to give me one. So, since this is my third speeding ticket since May 2010 I've got to either settle down and put cruise control on, obey the speed laws ... or else buy an old cadillac, hire a chauffer and change my name to "Miss Daisy"... Remember the movie Driving Miss Daisy ?
