    Matter of time......in Gods hands.

Hi everyone. I just felt I needed to post tonite. My dad had an appointment today. Its been one week since his last radiation treatment. The doctor told him today, he is done with all kinds of treatments now, and our main goal now is to keep him comfortable. He got his prescription for Oxycodin upped to 20mg every 4 hours as needed. He is down to 150 pounds.....very thin. Mom is having a hard time getting him to eat solids..They are having hospice come to the house tomorrow to see what they can do to help Dad (and Mom) out. Mom is kinda numb tonite......she knew the time was coming where there would be nothing they could do anymore, but just hit her harder than she expected. Thank god I live in town and am not too far away for them.
So keep us in your prayers and i'll update after hospice has talked with them. Thank you all for listening.

We are good at listening and understanding the trauma this disease causes in a family. Remind hospice that your dad is on the pain med and may have to deal with the constipation issue which can be very uncomfortable.
I send HUGS to all of your family.
