New to the community-my husband dx'd peritoneal meso 7/19/11.

Hi-like another new person, I am looking for information and support to help w/my husband, Dennis. He did chemo last fall, and had a really good response-none since 10/11, and not needed blood transfusion since 11/11. We are now working w/hospice and I want to know what to expect. Thanks. Rose

thanks for the quick response. What I'm looking for are people who have experienced this-what inital sx were there, what to expect as it progresses as Dennis has decided no more chemo and is not a surgical candidate.  It's as much just talking w/people w/common problems and challenges.  I live in AK, and there arent' many resources, plus this is so rare, there just isn't a lot anywhere.  So-just finding out what others have gone thru is really helpful  Rose

Hi Rose, I have a wonderful group of spouses who have lost loved ones to mesothelioma. I would like to email you privately their contact information so they can share their experiences with you. Let me round up a few whose husbands died from peritoneal meso and ask that they be candid and share what they think might be helpful to you on your hospice journey. Mary

Hi, Mary. I finally figured out how to join, and got the courage to actually post. I've been 'blogging' w/Diane-mistertoadie, and Janet G and both have told me to ask you for their info so I can call them. And of course anyone else who might be willing to talk. Dr Hassan's nurse called Monday to let us know he's gone this week, and will review his medical files next week. That is such a blessing to have an expert look at them. Thanks again for your help. Rose
